Below you will find the most common questions we typically get asked about rentals.

This program is available in all 50 states. Most out of area customers pick their item up the same day they order it at a local partner store such as Best Buy. If there are any other questions you may have that are not listed on our website, please feel free to call or message us, or reach out via Facebook messenger.

While browsing the internet, you will find millions of different products. With the Game Traders Club Rental Program, we offer our dedicated customers the opportunity to rent them out!

Rent-to-own options

How does the program work exactly?

Depending on the cost of the item, we typically propose a 26-week or 52-week rental contract. The weekly amount is determined by the cost of the item and how long the contract is for. If a person goes the full term of the contract and successfully pays each payment, the contract is closed and the item becomes theirs with no further charges being needed.

What is needed to participate in the Rental Program?

As the lowest-cost program of its kind in the United States, we must take precautions and be certain that we are renting to trustworthy, reliable individuals who take our program seriously and use it properly.

At Game Traders Club, anyone can Rent/RTO anything we have or can get for you.

IT'S SIMPLE!

Here is what you will need to set up a Rental Account:

1. Photo ID. A driver's license or state ID will be fine.

2. A Bank Card with your name on it as a Primary payment method, plus a back-up payment card in case the rental fee doesn't go through the first time. Pre-paid and gift cards are NOT accepted. You will make recurring weekly or bi-weekly payments until you return the item, or once it becomes yours after the pre-set number of weeks!

3. A paycheck stub (usually on your phone) that verifies that you have regular income and have been with your company/at your job for AT LEAST 3 months.

Special note for our out of town customers:

We will ship or drop ship the selected item to you within 2 business days. You will pay for the shipping costs, and must provide the same 3 items listed here—A photo ID, bank card, and paycheck stubs for proof of employment. You can send images by email.

You will be asked to sign a legal document, and we may need to speak to you over the phone. Once you return the item you have rented or kept it for the predetermined period of time (usually 26 or 52 weeks), you will no longer be charged the recurring rental fee.

Buy-out option

Can I pay my items off early?

Yes! Absolutely.

If you love your rental and wish to own the item sooner before the contract ends, we do offer a buy-out option! This helps customers save money, compared to going the full term of contract. When ready to buy out the contract, half of all payments made are deducted* from the product's sticker price, with the customer covering the remaining balance.

With this method, we divide each weekly or bi-weekly payment into two parts: one for the rental fee (referred to as the Cost of Rental) and the other for purchasing the item.

*The amount deducted from the weekly payments can be slightly different based on the type and demand of the product; it will also depend on the length of your contract.

*As long as the product is in the same condition as when you first picked it up (good, working condition), we will cancel it for you.

What if I no longer want the rental, or it no longer fits my budget?

Return it! You don't need to worry about cancellation fees with us.

New items can have a minimum rental period to offset the new vs used prices, but there are NO EARLY CANCELLATION FEES held against you! We want the process to be worry-free and easy.

Renting helps minimize regretful purchases. If you are renting an item from us for a few weeks or months and you find that you are no longer interested in it, aren't using it, or would rather get something else more your style—you can return it*, hassle-free.

There are literally MILLIONS of products, games, and electronic choices out there! Have you found a specific electronic, game, furniture, or another technology that you've been interested in but aren't ready to fully commit to purchasing before you try it?

We know how it is, which is why we've created a reputable Rental Program!

YOU tell us what YOU want to try or rent and we'll make it happen. If we don't currently have an item in-stock at our store, we'll find it for you and make it possible!

If you'd prefer, you can keep the item for a week, then bring it back. If you decide that you like the item, you can rent it for a longer amount of time before returning, or Rent-to-Own! It's up to you.

NOTE:

$40 per week is the current maximum rental allowance. Your Game Traders account has to be in good and current standing to participate. Limited funds and spots are available for this program, so don't wait—hop on fast!

Shipping

We offer different shipping options based upon whatever is most convenient to you. For our local customers, in-store Pick-up is available. Shipping costs are subject to change. We strive to ship, or drop ship all of the items you Rent or Buy within 1 business day of your order.

Tracking numbers for your item will be provided. Some items may require insurance due to value and if so, you will see it listed on the actual item page.
